The sale of counterfeit cigarettes was discovered on the territory of Bereket Universal shopping complex. The State Tax Service of Kyrgyzstan reported.
In total, 8,545 packs of cigarettes were seized from illegal circulation.
«We will take measures in relation to entrepreneurs in accordance with the legislation of Kyrgyzstan. Measures to detect illegal storage and sale of tobacco products will be carried out regularly,» the Tax Service noted.
A fine of 65,000 soms is imposed for the sale of up to 500 units of cigarettes without excise stamps, and for more than 1,000 — imprisonment for up to five years.
