The fare increase was postponed in the capital of Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Bishkek City Hall reported.
The fares will be increased in 15 days from the date of official publication of the resolution of the Bishkek City Council on its’ website.
«On December 27, 2023, at the regular session, deputies of the Bishkek City Council by general vote approved an increase in the fares for travel on municipal buses and trolleybuses — 17 soms for non-cash payment, 20 soms for cash payment and 20 soms in minibuses. The new tariffs were planned to be introduced after the holidays — from January 15 of the new year. However, due to days-off and holidays, the procedures for approving the draft resolution have not yet been completed. According to the regulations of the Bishkek City Council, the adopted legal acts will come into force in 15 days from the date of official publication of the document,» the municipality reported.
Residents and guests of the capital will continue to pay for travel at the old rates until the new ones are introduced.
