Chinese company to build waste incineration plant in Bishkek

A Chinese company will build a waste incineration plant in Bishkek. The press service of the City Hall reported.

A delegation led by Deputy Mayor of the capital Zhyrgalbek Shamyraliev visited Changsha (China) to get acquainted with the work of Junxin Environmental Protection Company, which built a large environmentally friendly waste incineration plant in this city.

In November 2023, the Mayor of the capital Aibek Dzhunushaliev and the General Director of Junxin Dai Daoguo signed a framework agreement on cooperation on a facility for the production of electricity based on waste incineration.

The company expressed a desire to build a waste incineration plant as an investor.

«A feasibility study of the project is being currently developed, as well as design and estimate documentation for the construction of a plant for recycling solid household waste in Bishkek. The capsule-laying ceremony is planned in early spring of this year. The construction process will take about a year and a half,» the City Hall said.

The City Hall noted that Junxin plant in Changsha not only disposes waste, but also conducts research and development work aimed at protecting the environment, produces electricity, building materials, fertilizers, biodiesel, and process water for irrigation.

The plant consists of separate blocks: food waste disposal, medical waste disposal and household waste disposal. It also has a transshipment base where waste is compacted, as a result its volume is reduced almost three times. The entire process of garbage collection throughout the city, the process of disposal, processing and recycling can be tracked online. The Changsha landfill became a Hi-Tech Park.

Junxin is a national high-tech enterprise that is engaged in the disposal of municipal solid waste, municipal sewage sludge, landfill leachate, fly ash and other waste. The plant meets international standards.
