Head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov took part in the opening of the new building of pre-trial detention center No. 53 in Suzak district. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that the isolation ward was moved from Jalal-Abad to Suzak district.
«There are large-scale changes in the penitentiary system: correctional institutions located in cities are being moved beyond their boundaries. The vacated city infrastructure is used for the construction of administrative buildings, public gardens and residential buildings,» he said.
The official stressed that the condition of pre-trial detention center No. 53, where women and minors were kept, did not meet the requirements.
The new building was built for 364 million soms.
Akylbek Japarov got acquainted with the demolition of correctional institution No. 10 and battalion No. 5 of the security and escort department in Jalal-Abad.
