The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan instructed Kyrgyzkomur to develop Torugart coal field. The order was adopted by the government.
The document says about granting Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise the right to use subsoil for the purpose of conducting geological exploration at Torugart coal field in At-Bashi district of Naryn region.
Earlier, a representative of Kyrgyzkomur state enterprise, Maksatbek Moldokmatov, reported that 1,150 million tons of coal have been produced since the beginning of the year.
According to the head of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, Kyrgyzkomur will begin exporting coal to China in 2024. Coal will be supplied from four deposits — Ak-Ulak, Urmezan, Kara-Keche and Besh-Burkan.
