Japan interested in development of parliamentary cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held talks with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan Fukushiro Nukaga. The press service of the head of state reported.

Issues regarding the development of interparliamentary relations, as well as plans for their further deepening, were discussed. Sadyr Japarov noted that the current visit is historic for Kyrgyzstan in general and for him in particular. The meetings during the visit inspire great optimism regarding the prospects for further cooperation with the Japanese side.

The head of state stressed that interparliamentary relations are an important component of the development of interstate relations, which need to be further strengthened. He especially emphasized that Kyrgyzstan, as an independent state, has been striving for democratic development since its formation in 1991. Sadyr Japarov expressed gratitude to the Japanese side for the continued support of Kyrgyzstan for the sake of strengthening democracy and the social and economic development of the country.

In turn, Fukushiro Nukaga stressed that interparliamentary interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Japan has been developing at a high and trusting level over the past years. He noted the development of democracy in Kyrgyzstan and confirmed interest in further expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation in the traditional spirit of mutual understanding.
