All online casinos in Kyrgyzstan that do not have a license will be closed, if the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan adopts appropriate amendments to the law on gambling activity. A representative of the ministry announced at a parliamentary meeting.
Deputy Marlen Mamataliev admitted to betting at online casinos and losing. According to him, he supports the law that is being discussed today.
«All gaming areas must be located near the casino. But there are underground gambling establishments. If citizens witness such things, where should they turn?» the deputy asked.
Chairman of the Service for Regulation and Supervision over the Financial Market Marat Pirnazarov responded that the agency’s website has telephone numbers where citizens can report violations.
Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva asked how the money of foreigners playing in casinos will be controlled.
«The casino, through its cash desk, regulates the money deposited by foreigners. In addition, the gambling establishments have specialists who have the appropriate certificates and permits. They check the legality of funds coming to the casino from foreign players,» Marat Pirnazarov said.
Parliament members considered amendments to the Law on Gambling Activities in the Kyrgyz Republic in the first reading.
