Arrest of director of Emarkstroy construction company, Cholponbek Akmatov, has been extended. The press service of the Bishkek City Court reported.
The investigating judge of Oktyabrsky District Court granted the petition of the head of the investigative group of the State Committee for National Security for Chui region.
Detention of Cholponbek Akmatov in the pre-trial detention center No. 1 was extended until January 4, 2024.
The businessman is accused of money laundering as part of a criminal community. Earlier, district courts arrested the owner of Elite House construction company, Timur Faiziev, and the general director of Avangard Style construction company, Ernis Minkeyev. They are also charged with paragraph 2, part 3 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, that is, money laundering as part of a criminal community.
On November 9, the Bishkek City Court changed the preventive measure for Ernis Minkeyev and released him on his own recognizance.
