The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan asks to build 19 garages for new fire trucks. Deputy Ravshanbek Rysbaev announced at a joint meeting of Ata Zhurt Kyrgyzstan, Ishenim parliamentary factions and Mekenchil parliamentary group.
According to him, the new equipment does not fit in the old parking lots.
Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov noted that the ministry asked the Ministry of Finance to allocate additional 428 million soms in 2024 for the construction of 19 fire stations. But it hasn’t been approved yet.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev responded that a standard design for these buildings is being developed. «A new company Beton Kurulush was opened in Kyrgyzindustriya. Upon completion of the standard project, 19 two-story fire and rescue stations will be ordered and built,» he said.
In March, Russia handed over 40 new fire engines to Kyrgyzstan. Later, within the framework of the World Bank project, another 58 units of firefighting equipment were also handed over.
