The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Kyrgyz Republic strongly condemns the military strike on Al-Ahli Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in numerous casualties among Palestinian civilians, and calls for a comprehensive investigation into this violation of international humanitarian law. «We emphasize the importance of compliance with the principles and norms of international humanitarian law, which provide for the protection of civilians and civilian infrastructure.
In this regard, we call on the parties to take comprehensive measures to prevent casualties and violence against civilians and to stop hostilities, and to immediately begin the negotiation process in the interests of achieving peace.
The Kyrgyz Republic stands for consolidating the efforts of the world community for the peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in accordance with the resolutions of the Security Council and the UN General Assembly,» the statement says.
An explosion occurred at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza in the evening of October 17. The Hamas-controlled Gaza Ministry of Health said about 800 people were killed, all of them were civilians. Information on the death toll was provided by Al Arabiya. Al Jazeera reports about 500 killed.
