The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) confirmed information about the liquidation of a crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev (Kamchybek Asanbek).
According to the SCNS, national security agencies are constantly working to combat organized crime and take measures to eradicate the influence of criminals on various spheres of life in the republic.
As part of the work being carried out, a number of criminal cases are being investigated against active members of organized criminal groups and their leaders on facts of illegal seizure of property of entrepreneurs on a particularly large scale.
A pre-investigation check is also being carried out on statements from citizens regarding K. Asanbek and his involvement in organizing the murder of the leader of an opposing criminal group, Chyngyz Dzhumagulov, nicknamed Doo.
On October 4, during search activities, the whereabouts of Kamchybek Asanbek was established in the Blonder Pub restaurant on Ibraimov Street, where the latter, ignoring the legal demands of the SCNS officers, offered armed resistance using firearms.
As a result of the criminal actions of Kamchybek Asanbek, who encroached on the life and health of SCNS employees with firearms, employees of the SCNS special unit returned the fire to kill.
In connection with the fact, the SCNS opened a criminal case under the articles «Creation of an organized criminal group», «Illegal trafficking in weapons», «Attempted murder» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Urgent investigative actions are being carried out, doctors confirmed the death of K. Asanbek at the scene from bullet wounds, there are no victims or injured from among the SCNS employees and civilians.
The SCNS will also give a legal assessment of the actions of all representatives of Kamchybek Asanbek’s group involved in this fact. Additional information about the results of the investigation will be provided separately.
