The mayor of the capital of Tatarstan proposed to open Kazan — Karakol flight. Ilsur Metshin announced the idea at a meeting with the delegation from Kyrgyzstan, which took place within the framework of a forum.
The delegation from the Kyrgyz Republic included mayors and vice mayors of ten cities. The parties discussed the activities of municipalities and cooperation.

The mayor of the city, Chyngyz Bapaev, told about Karakol. According to him, on average 2 million tourists visit Karakol each year. Thanks to the presence of a ski base and Issyk-Kul lake, which does not freeze even in winter, tourism is supported all year round. There are 153 hotels open to guests in the city. In October it is planned to complete the construction of an airport.
«The mayor of Kazan asked whether young people in Kyrgyzstan speak Russian. As representatives of the delegation noted, Russian is the state language in the country (Russian is the official language in the Kyrgyz Republic — Note of 24.kg news agency), and people begin to learn it in kindergarten. When choosing a school, parents mostly choose educational institutions with Russian as the language of instruction,» the statement says.
