Sellers of Dordoi market held a rally against the actions of the State Tax Service. They sent a video of the protest to 24.kg news agency.
The rally participants noted that they closed the containers and would not work until they were explained the reasons for the increase in taxes. According to them, finance inspectors have sealed their warehouses and demand to pay 10 percent of the cost of the goods, but the sellers do not have this amount of money.
«We are unhappy that taxes are being raised. There is no point in working at all under such conditions,» they said.
Own sources informed 24.kg news agency that problems arose at Dzhunhai market. To date, more than 800 warehouses remain sealed because their owners have not paid taxes.
«Last week, the tax authorities carried out raid control on the market. They checked compliance with the legislation regarding the payment of taxes. Then the warehouses were sealed. Later, some entrepreneurs paid due taxes. Their warehouses were opened. Warehouses of only those who promised and did not pay taxes remain sealed,» the sources said.
The State Tax Service promised to comment on the current situation later.
