Decree on the invalidation of certain decisions of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed. Press service of the head of state reported.
In August last year, Sadyr Japarov signed the decree on convening the People’s Kurultai, issued for the first kurultai to be held in Bishkek on November 25, 2022. Then 1,074 delegates took part in it.
«The decree was issued in the period before the regulation of issues related to the legal status of the People’s Kurultai and the principles of its activities. In connection with the adoption and entry into force of the constitutional Law on the People’s Kurultai, the decree of August 15 last year, as well as the powers of the delegates of the kurultai, held on November 25, 2022, were terminated,» the statement says.
