Citizens suspected of particularly serious crimes of a terrorist nature were detained. Press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
The detainees are 29-year-old and 30-year-old men. They underwent special terrorist training and took part in the fighting in Syria on the side of an international terrorist organization (ITO).
«The suspects have been wanted since 2019 for serious crimes of a terrorist nature, including participation in hostilities on the territory of a foreign state, under the leadership of ITO emissaries. They were detained abroad and extradited to Kyrgyzstan. The suspects were placed in the pre-trial detention center of the SCNS,» the state committee said.
