An interdepartmental working group checked more than 200 resorts after the incident in Cholpon-Ata, when an underage driver of a motorboat provoked the death of two vacationers. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Issyk-Kul region reported.
It included representatives of local government bodies, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Department of Internal Affairs and other officials.
They carried out preventive and explanatory work among vacationers and owners of water transport and attractions for compliance with the rules for protecting people’s lives in water bodies of the country.
In total, 229 recreation areas, 1,096 private recreation centers, 29 owners of water vehicles, 5 water attractions were inspected.
At least 25 facts of violations were revealed, the materials were transferred to the relevant state bodies for taking measures in accordance with the Code of Offenses.
