Doctors from China will perform 600 free eye cataract surgeries in September. The press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
This issue was discussed at a meeting of the Heath Minister Gulnara Baatyrova with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Du Dewen. The head of the diplomatic mission announced the plans of the International Cooperation Center under the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China to implement Express Health project. Within the framework of this project, free cataract surgeries will be performed for 600 Kyrgyzstanis: 300 each in Bishkek and Osh cities.
«For the successful implementation of the project, the Chinese side will send two groups of medical specialists who will perform operations at the National Hospital and the Osh Interregional United Hospital. The latter will receive the necessary medical equipment free of charge to ensure the creation of an examination room for the ophthalmological department,» the ministry noted.
