According to it, President of the Kyrgyz Football Union Mederbek Sydykov met with Mayor Bakytbek Zhetigenov. Issues on promising areas for the development of football in Osh were discussed at the meeting.
As noted, the City Hall is reconstructing the stadium named after Akhmatbek Suyumbaev in order to improve the quality of the lawn, equip it with an irrigation system, and renew 12,500 seats.
«Facade of the stadium will be completely renovated, a major overhaul of the locker rooms and shower rooms for football players is planned. As you know, in case IFC Alai qualifies for the group stage of the AFC Cup, the club’s home matches will take place at this stadium,» the Kyrgyz Football Union stressed.
In addition, the parties discussed the construction of two training fields with natural grass. The Kyrgyz Football Union will work on the implementation of the infrastructure project. The mayor expressed his readiness to assist, as well as to find the necessary land for the construction of fields.
