President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov instructed to carry out a major reconstruction of the State Circus building. Press service of the head of state reported.
Sadyr Japarov visited the State Circus named after A. Izibaev on Friday. He examined the condition of the building, got acquainted with the working conditions of its employees and had a conversation with them.
Earlier, information about the deplorable state of the circus building was repeatedly published in the media.
In a conversation with the staff, the head of state noted that a project for the major reconstruction of the circus had been developed, the necessary funds would be allocated and repair work would begin in the near future.
In addition, to date, the issue of appointment of a new director of the institution remains open. According to the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Altynbek Maksutov, a competitive selection of candidates for the position of head of the State Circus is currently underway.
Sadyr Japarov called on the creative team to unite in a common desire to develop circus art, to help in solving the accumulated issues that hinder its development. Other instructions were given on the issues raised by the circus workers.
