As part of a one-day working trip to St. Petersburg (Russia), Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Management Committee of Gazprom PJSC. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
They discussed main issues of bilateral partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia in the field of gas supply. Akylbek Japarov thanked Alexey Miller for his significant contribution to fuel and energy cooperation between the countries.
«Comprehensive interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Gazprom is deepening and is on the path of consistent development,» he said.
In turn, Alexey Miller said that Kyrgyzstan was a reliable partner of Gazprom.
«We have very strong relations in the energy sector, in the field of gas cooperation. We see great potential in the development of this cooperation,» he stressed.
Within the framework of bilateral negotiations, further steps of the partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Gazprom in the near future were substantively discussed. The agenda of the meeting also included issues of bilateral cooperation for the implementation of socially significant projects in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, implemented by Gazprom.
