Officers of the State Service on Drug Control detained a 22-year-old member of an international drug syndicate. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The young man was detained while taking mephedrone from the stash with an approximate weight of 6 kilograms.
«The detainee was engaged in the transit of large batches of psychotropic substances to the neighboring countries. A fake ID of an officer of the State Service on Drug Control was also confiscated from the suspect. A criminal case has been initiated under the article «Illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, transfer for the purpose of sale, as well as illegal production or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The illegal income of the detainee could reach more than 33 million soms in case of sale of the psychotropic substance. Trafficking of over 40,000 single doses of mephedrone on the territory of the republic has been prevented,» the ministry informed.
