Eight vaccine storage facilities to be built in Kyrgyzstan

Eight warehouses for storage of vaccines will be built at inter-district centers for disease prevention and state sanitary and epidemiological supervision as part of COVID-19 Emergency Response Project. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.

According to its data, six facilities are already under construction in Toktogul, Ala-Buka, Batken, Jalal-Abad, Ak-Talaa and Aravan villages. Next in line are Bishkek and Kerben.

The ministry noted that the warehouses for storage of vaccines in the Sanitary Epidemiological Departments of Moskovsky, Kemin, Bazar-Korgon districts, as well as in the inter-district center for disease prevention and state sanitary and epidemiological supervision of Talas have been repaired within the project, repair at the Sanitary Epidemiological Department in Chaek village is nearing completion.

In addition, at the expense of the project, 50 freezers and 50 thermal containers for storing vaccines were purchased for the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision. A freezer room (a specialized freezer for storing vaccines at −15-25 degrees Celsius) is expected to be delivered to the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center.
