The City Hall of the capital organized an online business meeting of entrepreneurs from Bishkek and Batken. Press service of the City Hall reported.
Representatives of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz and Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Funds, as well as the Guarantee Fund participated in it.
The City Hall noted that earlier, by order of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Bishkek City Hall was assigned to curatorship (patronage) over the City Hall of Batken, after which the mayor of the capital, Emilbek Abdykadyrov, approved an action plan to support the social and economic development of the southern region. One of the points in it is the organization of joint forums with the participation of entrepreneurs of the two cities and attraction of local and foreign investors.
«The online business meeting consisted of two sessions. In the first part, presentations were made by representatives of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund and the Guarantee Fund. They briefed the meeting participants on their activities, priority areas, funding criteria and ongoing projects. During the second session, an entrepreneur from Batken presented a project on the introduction of a modern irrigation system not only in Batken region, but throughout Kyrgyzstan,» the City Hall said.
As a result of the meeting, agreements were reached on regular holding of such events, assistance in the preparation of business plans for Batken entrepreneurs and their implementation, as well as in promotion of joint business projects and interaction between entrepreneurs of Bishkek and Batken.
