Construction of Asman city in Issyk-Kul region will benefit every citizen of Kyrgyzstan. The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said during ceremony of laying a capsule for construction of the new city.
According to him, some short-sighted citizens are indignant at why the city of Asman is not being built in Batken, and why all projects are implemented in Issyk-Kul.
«If Issyk-Kul lake was in Batken region, we would definitely build Asman there. Investors also choose a resort area convenient for themselves during such construction. Most importantly, this city will benefit all the people of Kyrgyzstan, wherever it is. It will become a locomotive for the growth of the economy of Kyrgyzstan. For example, Kumtor is located in Issyk-Kul, the benefits from it go to the budget of the republic, and every Kyrgyzstani has been using this for 30 years. In the same way, this city will become useful for all Kyrgyzstanis. Therefore, one must be far-sighted and think about the future of Kyrgyzstan. God willing, we will build the same city in the south of the country,» he said.
