The international festival Kyrgyz Shyrdak — XIII will be held in Naryn on June 28-29. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan, which is the organizer of the event, reported.
The purpose of the festival is to improve and strengthen cultural and economic ties between the districts of Naryn region, as well as to familiarize guests and foreign tourists with Kyrgyz applied arts, national sports games and folklore musical heritage.
A parade of artisans, national and equestrian games (er enish, arkan tartysh, balban kuresh, kyz kuumai, ordo and others), a demonstration of Kyrgyz national dishes (including besh barmak and boorsok), master classes in handicraft arts (shyrdak shows, embroidery, weaving of mats, felting and others) are planned on the opening day of the festival. In addition, everyone will be able to join the promotional tour to Salkyn Tor National Park, as well as a tour of the University of Central Asia.
On the last day of the festival, the results will be summed up, the best artisans will be awarded, a gala concert and fireworks will take place.
