The issue of creation of an eco-police in Bishkek in order to achieve the most effective result in combating smog was discussed at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the ministry reported.
The second meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Air Pollution problems was held in Bishkek and Chui region under the chairmanship of the minister Melis Turgunbaev.
The official noted that the issue of smog is under special control of the country’s leadership. The issues of supply of residential areas in suburban areas of the capital with gas, switch of 15 boilers of the Heating and Power Plant to gas and inspection of public health centers, baths and private houses to clarify the type of heating materials used were discussed.
