President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on holding an annual republican competition for teachers of preschool and general education organizations. Press service of the head of state reported.
The objectives of the decree are to popularize the teaching profession, promote advanced innovative pedagogical experience of the best teachers and the best educators of state and municipal preschool and general education organizations.
Competitions «The Best Teacher of the Year» and «The Best Educator of the Year» will be held at the expense of the republican budget and the president’s fund.
The following categories can take part in competitions:
— Subject teachers and primary school teachers of state and municipal schools;
— Educators, methodologists, teachers, music teachers of state and municipal preschool educational organizations;
Repeated awarding of «The Best Teacher of the Year» and «The Best Educator of the Year» awards to the same person is not allowed.
The awarding ceremony will be held on October 5 — on the eve of the professional holiday — International Teacher’s Day.
The Ministry of Education and Science should develop and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a draft procedure for holding the annual republican competitions, as well as develop and test tools for their holding.
