Alyona Krylova, a Russian activist, defendant in Left Resistance criminal case, was detained in Bishkek. Sota media outlet reported on Telegram channel.
According to it, the girl was detained in the city center on June 4 during a walk. It is planned to hand her over to Russian side, where a criminal case has been opened against her for participation in the activities of an extremist community.
The Left Resistance case was initiated in 2021. The leader of the movement, Daria Polyudova, was sentenced in 2022 to nine years in prison under an article on creation of an extremist community. Five more activists, including Alyona Krylova, are considered to be members of the organization. In November last year, Krylova was included in the register of terrorists and extremists and she was put on the wanted list.
Human rights activists consider the case politically motivated.
Earlier, Kyrgyzstan deported to Russia a military activist Aleksey Rozhkov, who set fire to a military commissariat in the suburbs of Yekaterinburg in protest against the war in Ukraine.
