President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in Xi’an. Press service of the head of state reported.
Before the start of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov was solemnly met by a guard of honor company. The leaders of the two countries, after mutual greetings and joint photographing at the state flags of Kyrgyzstan and China, went to the negotiating hall.
They discussed topical issues of Kyrgyzstan — China bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the agenda of the upcoming China — Central Asia Summit, implementation of high level agreements and joint projects in various fields.
Xi Jinping noted that Sadyr Japarov’s visit to China confirms the high level of bilateral cooperation.
The Chinese President recalled their previous meetings with Sadyr Japarov, as a result of which agreements were reached, and now a number of important bilateral cooperation projects are being consistently implemented. Xi Jinping expressed confidence that the ongoing projects would give a powerful impetus to the entire complex of China — Kyrgyzstan cooperation.
Speaking about China — Central Asia Summit, the PRC President emphasized that it would become an important milestone and open a new era of cooperation. Xi Jinping called for strengthening this format of interaction.
The head of China also outlined the key areas of joint cooperation — increasing mutual trade, practical implementation of trade and economic cooperation programs, increasing number of direct flights, establishing twinning ties between regions, strengthening law enforcement exchanges, traditional friendship and cooperation, bringing bilateral relations to a new level, implementation of projects in the field of hydropower.
Xi Jinping expressed readiness for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, transport, education, modernization of checkpoints, global and regional security.
Sadyr Japarov, in turn, thanked Xi Jinping for the invitation to pay a state visit to China and take part in the China — Central Asia Summit. The Head of State congratulated the President of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese people on the successful holding of the 20th Congress of the Communist Party of China, «two sessions» and his re-election as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, President of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People’s Republic of China.
«I am confident that China, under your wise leadership, will achieve new inspiring success in political and socio-economic development, and will further strengthen its high authority in the international arena. We expect that the current visit will give a significant impetus to deepening our interstate relations and raising them to the new highest quality level — a comprehensive strategic partnership,» he said.
The President stressed that the Kyrgyz side has high expectations from the upcoming China — Central Asia Summit.
This dialogue platform is an important mechanism for interaction, discussion and decision-making on issues relevant to the region and of interest to all six states.
«I note with great satisfaction that Kyrgyzstan — China relations are at the highest level today. There are no political disagreements or unresolved issues between our countries. We provide each other with support on topical, vital issues for each of our states. The high level of political mutual trust provides an excellent opportunity to expand and build up trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between our countries,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He added that China is one of the main trade and investment partners of Kyrgyzstan. There is a dynamic growth of mutual trade, the volume of investments of the Chinese side in the economy of Kyrgyzstan. Sadyr Japarov paid special attention to the fact that Kyrgyzstan is doing its best to create favorable conditions for foreign investors and entrepreneurs to do business, to implement joint economic projects.
The head of state expressed the interest of the Kyrgyz side in deepening cooperation in the trade, economic and investment fields, in the field of education, finance, e-commerce, cultural and humanitarian areas.
Sadyr Japarov invited Xi Jinping to pay a state visit to Kyrgyzstan.
During the bilateral talks, the leaders paid special attention to China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway construction project, stressed the importance of accelerating its implementation. The parties agreed to continue close cooperation on all topical issues of mutual interest.
