The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov handed cash certificates to the winners of Aitysh Tor international TV project. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
Akylbek Japarov noted that Manas trilogy and aitysh art are included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. Last year, the President opened Manas Theater, more than 100 storytellers and poets work in it to date.
«This year, more than 6 million soms have been allocated for the study of Manas. The prize fund of the Aitysh Tor competition reached 3 million soms,» the head of the Cabinet said.
According to the voting results, the main prize of 1 million soms was awarded to Akmatbek Sultanov, 1st place and a certificate for 500,000 soms — to Kubat Tukeshov, 2nd place and a certificate for 350,000 soms — to Argen Biyrmyza uulu, 3rd place and 250,000 soms — to Chingiskhan Kozhoshov.
In addition, eight akyns who got into the second round of the competition received prizes of 100,000 soms each.
