Rights of Pregnant Women campaign launched in Kyrgyzstan

Rights of Pregnant Women campaign has been launched in Kyrgyzstan. Baktygul Bozgorpoeva, director of Kyrgyz Family Planning Alliance NGO, announced at Safe Motherhood press cafe.

She noted that a study has been conducted that showed that many pregnant women do not know what medical services they can use, that they can get a compulsory medical insurance certificate for free, what benefits or allowances they have the right to, and so on. Then it was decided to develop an interdepartmental communication plan so that women receive information in a common language.

«The campaign started on May 12 and will last until the end of the year. The information will be posted on the websites and social media pages of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Labor, the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, the Republican Center for Health Promotion, as well as Mutakalim and Kyrgyz Family Planning Alliance NGOs», Baktygul Bozgorpoeva said.
