SCNS reveals illegal workshop for manufacture and hallmarking of jewelry

The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) revealed an illegal workshop for the manufacture and hallmarking of jewelry in Bishkek. Press center of the state committee reported.

It was established that the citizens of Kyrgyzstan, bypassing the hallmarking procedures in the Department of Precious Metals under the Ministry of Finance and paying the relevant taxes, organized the illegal trafficking of precious metals.

A criminal case was opened on the fact, searches were carried out in the workshop and places where the suspects lived. As a result of the searches, equipment necessary for the manufacture and hallmarking of jewelry, as well as silver panning, silver jewelry with a total weight of about 23.5 kilograms, were found.

The criminal investigation is ongoing.
