Since 1994, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has provided more than $1.5 billion in loans to Kyrgyzstan. Resident Mission of ADB in the republic provided such data.
It is noted that $947 million were provided in form of grants and $74 million — in technical assistance.
Last year, ADB approved $170 million to support development in a number of sectors in Kyrgyzstan, including promotion of trade, strengthening health care and education sectors, and supporting food security.
