Pyramid and Channel Five TV channels will be liquidated due to bankruptcy. Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Chyngyz Esengul uulu announced at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget, economic and fiscal policy.
Deputy Marlen Mamataliev asked what would happen to the debts of the TV channels.
«We will eliminate them. Bankrupt... Transfer of TV channels to the Bishkek City Hall and Kyrgyzaltyn OJSC has been cancelled. Employees of the State Property Management Fund are working on the debts issue,» the deputy minister replied.
Earlier, the staff of Channel Five turned to the head of state Sadyr Japarov and the head of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov with a request to decide their future fate.
It should be noted that Mirlan Bakirov, being the head of the State Property Management Fund, reported that these TV channels would be transferred to the Bishkek City Hall and Kyrgyzaltyn.
