At least 690 people died in traffic accidents in 2022. The head of the Traffic Police Department and Law Enforcement Practice Manas Sydygaliev told at a press conference.
Compared to 2021, the figure decreased by 179 cases, or 20 percent. In addition, 861,378 traffic violations were detected last year. Fines in the amount of 506,023,520 soms were imposed for them.
«We failed to achieve our goal of reducing the road accident rate by 50 percent. But work in this direction is underway,» Manas Sydygaliev said.
