MP proposes to send labor migrants from Kyrgyzstan to USA

Deputy Meikinbek Abdaliev proposes to conclude an agreement with the United States on the employment of Kyrgyzstanis. He voiced the proposal at a meeting of the Parliament on Wednesday.

According to him, migrants from Kyrgyzstan could get more income in the U.S. than in Russia.

«Migrants in Russia earn an average of $500 per month. In the USA, our compatriots, working as taxi drivers and truck drivers, earn $10,000-30,000. Even the laziest migrant in America earns $10,000. They feed the whole village. We respect Russia, of course, but work in the U.S. is more beneficial for our migrants,» the deputy said.

Meikinbek Abdaliev suggested the Minister of Social Security and Migration, Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, apply to the U.S. Government for employment of citizens.

«Contact the embassy, the government. If they allow 2-3 companies to employ Kyrgyzstanis in the U.S., we can train them, help them get permits and work officially. According to my data, 100,000 truck drivers are required in the United States,» said the deputy.

Minister Kudaibergen Bazarbaev said that this issue was being considered.

«We are already working on the employment of citizens of Kyrgyzstan in developed countries. The quota for South Korea has been increased from 500 to 2,000 this year. The first time we sent to work in England. Recently, compatriots in the United States received an offer for employment of Kyrgyzstanis. The issue is under consideration,» he said.
