An exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Honored Worker of the Kyrgyz SSR, People’s Writer of Kyrgyzstan, laureate of the Toktogul Satylganov State Prize, playwright, prose writer Toktobolot Abdumomunov has been opened at the National History Museum in Bishkek.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov, Minister of Culture Altynbek Maksutov and the son of the writer Iskhak Abdumomunov. The exhibition presents photo-documentary materials of the Central State Archive of Film and Photo Documents of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Abdumomunovs’ family archive.
2022 was declared the Year of the Classic of Kyrgyz Literature, the founder of the national professional dramaturgy Toktobolot Abdumomunov on September 16, 2021 in Khiva (Uzbekistan) by the decision of the Permanent Council of the Ministers of Culture of the TURKSOY countries.
In 1967, Toktobolot Abdumomunov was awarded the title of laureate of the Toktogul Satylganov State Prize for the dramas «Love and Hope», «Conscience Does not Forgive».
