Exhibition of Hungarian artist István Orosz opens in Bishkek

Exhibition of the Hungarian artist István Orosz «Graphics, posters, anamorphoses» was opened at the youth center of the International University of Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday. The Embassy of Hungary in the Kyrgyz Republic informed 24.kg news agency.

The exhibition is timed to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.

The exposition was opened by the Vice Rector of the International University of Kyrgyzstan Kameliya Osmonbayeva and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to the Kyrgyz Republic Dorogi Sandor. The poem by István Orosz «Prayer» was also heard at the ceremony.

István Orosz is a Hungarian graphic artist, poster artist and cartoonist, member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, known for his work in the field of optical art. In his works, he uses various optical illusions and depicts impossible figures, drawings with a double meaning and anamorphoses, which create his unique style and a special, incomparable character.

More than 40 works, including «Babylon», «Ambassador’s Anamorphosis», «Rhinoceros», «Pillar from Corinth», «Island» and many others are presented at the exhibition.

The exhibition will last until December 27. Admission is free (pre-registration required).
