Due to an increase in the incidence of ARVI and influenza, all schools and kindergartens were closed for control of the disease in Talas region for ten days — from December 14 to December 24. The Talas Interdistrict Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance informed 24.kg news agency.
According to experts, there are 113 schools and 70 kindergartens in the region. The non-attendance rate reached 32 percent.
Earlier it was reported that six schools were closed in Chui region, and eight — in Bishkek for control of the disease.
The Department of Disease Prevention and Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance conducts daily monitoring of the epidemiological situation.
«Based on the monitoring, if up to 20 percent of children are absent from school, the chief physicians of district / city centers for disease prevention and state sanitary and epidemiological surveillance, together with the Education Departments of districts and cities, will submit the issue to a meeting of the local state administrations and local governments for consideration and timely organization of preventive measures and, if necessary, to introduce quarantine measures at the local level,» the Ministry of Health explained.
