Commercial banks of Kyrgyzstan began to independently import dollars from abroad. Thus, they solve the problem with the purchase and sale of American currency. The Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Kaiyp Kulenbekov announced at a meeting of Ishenim faction.
Deputy Cholpon Sultanbekova asked about the difficulties in buying foreign currency, in particular the dollar.
«The issue is related to the geopolitical situation and the outflow of the dollar. The demand for cash is high. Commercial banks are making efforts, import foreign currency from abroad. We can’t say yet how this influences the market,» Kaiyp Kulenbekov said.
In March, the National Bank imposed a temporary ban on the export of dollars from Kyrgyzstan.
