The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan constantly conducts enhanced supervision over the activities of commercial banks and exchange offices. Press service of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
Checks are carried out in order to prevent violation of the requirements of the law and the National Bank in terms of foreign exchange transactions and customer service. At least 131 inspections have been carried out in commercial banks since the beginning of 2022.
Based on their results, 60 instructions, 31 warnings and 13 recommendations were sent.
In November, inspections were carried out in 10 commercial banks, as a result of which nine instructions were sent on the need to strictly comply with the requirements of the law.
«Based on the results of inspections, recommendations were sent to commercial banks in terms of improving the quality of banking customer service and the need to maintain a sufficient amount of foreign currency in cash to meet the needs of the population,» the central bank stressed.
