Kyrgyzstan takes loan to help citizens in need

The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan takes a loan from the International Development Association under the project «Strengthening social assistance and labor market programs» in the amount of $30 million. Deputy Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Zhyldyz Polotova announced at a meeting of the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security and Migration of the Parliament.

According to her, the loan will be distributed among the vulnerable families.

«One and a half thousand citizens will receive the money under ui-bulogo komok program, other 3,000 families in need of social support will get 100,000 each. We will help 3,000 citizens find jobs. The loan is issued for 50 years without interest, but if we violate the terms of the agreement, interest rate will be set at 1.25 percent,» the Deputy Minister said.

According to Zhyldyz Polotova, $4 million will be spent on consultants during the implementation of the loan agreement.
