The Central Bank of Russia announced connection of 12 foreign financial organizations from Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Representative of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Oleg Perestenko announced at the conference of the Association of Russian Banks.
«Since July of this year, the possibility of cross-border transfers through 12 foreign banks has been implemented,» he said.
According to Oleg Perestenko, the first trial cross-border transfer through the instant payments system took place in early July. The client sent a transfer of 1,000 rubles from the Russian bank Hais to the Kyrgyz MBANK (the provider was Tinkoff). The operation was carried out in rubles with conversion into the national currency on the side of the recipient bank.
On November 17, the Bank of Russia set a fee for banks in the amount of 6 rubles for cross-border transfers of individuals through the instant payments system — the changes will enter into force on December 19, the amount of the fee will be fixed regardless of the amount of the money transfer.
