Kara-Balta Distillery state enterprise received a public budget loan in the amount of 280 million soms. The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The company must return the funds by December 15, 2023. At the same time, according to the Tax Service, the tax debt of the enterprise as of October 1 amounted to 20,663.5 million soms.
A 100 percent state monopoly on alcohol was introduced in Kyrgyzstan on September 1, 2022. It was the Kara-Balta Distillery that was granted the exclusive right to produce and sell alcohol.
