New buses purchased at the expense of the city budget will arrive in Bishkek before December 15. The Mayor of the capital Emilbek Abdykadyrov announced at a press conference.
According to him, the new buses meet international requirements, are environmentally friendly — run on gas, low-floor, 10.5 meters long and have conditions for people with disabilities.
One billion soms was allocated this year from the city budget for the purchase of buses. The City Hall purchased them from Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., Ltd. They are expected to arrive in the country before the end of the year. They are already ready for shipment.
Other 124 buses purchased under the EBRD project should arrive at the beginning of next year. A total of 250 units will be purchased through it. In addition, 120 electric buses will be purchased under the ADB project.
