The first Supreme Mufti of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Kimsanbai azhy Abdyrakhmanov, has died. The Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (SDMK) reported.
The SDMK noted that Kimsanbai azhy devoted half a century to religious education, foundation and construction of the Kyrgyz Spiritual Directorate, the Islamic Institute, thousands of mosques and dozens of madrasahs.
«He made a huge contribution to the formation of Muslim consciousness in bringing the religion of Islam to our population, which for seventy years, since independence, has been under the rule of atheistic ideology,» SDMK noted.
