President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov received the Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia Sergei Naryshkin. Press service of the head of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
The parties exchanged views on the development of Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in the field of security.
«The head of state expressed confidence that the visit of Sergei Naryshkin to the Kyrgyz Republic would be fruitful, and the agreements reached between the competent authorities of the two countries contribute to further strengthening of Kyrgyz-Russian relations, which have always been distinguished by a strategic nature, special mutual understanding and complete trust,» the statement says.
Sadyr Japarov noted that cooperation between national security agencies played an important role in maintaining a high level of partnership between the two countries, which allows to exchange experience, relevant information and, most importantly, contributes to the coordination of joint actions and efforts to ensure security and stability in the region.
Sergei Naryshkin, in turn, conveyed greetings and good wishes from the Russian President Vladimir Putin to the head of state.
Noting that the two countries are reliable and trusting partners, the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation added that stability and security in the Central Asian region and the Eurasian space depend on the common position of the two states.
