Kazakhstan increases import of ice cream from Kyrgyzstan by 3.6 times

Kazakhstan increased import of ice cream from Kyrgyzstan by 3.6 times. The Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reform of the Republic of Kazakhstan provides such data. According to it, Kazakh importers are buying more ice cream from Kyrgyzstan in 2022.

For the period from January to September of this year, Kazakhstanis sold goods worth $519.9 million to the Kyrgyz Republic. If to compare this year’s trade with last year’s, the growth is 7.7 percent.

Kazakh exporters bring sweetened beverages, smartphones, tobacco, poultry meat and pasta to Kyrgyzstan. Sales of these goods increased by 2.3 times.

Dairy products (+23.9 percent), ice cream (3.6 times increase) and iron bars (3.5 times increase) are exported from Kyrgyzstan to the neighboring republic.

At the same time, purchase of bakery products and ore from the Kyrgyz Republic decreased.
