The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, the head of the State Committee for National Security, told live on social media how the negotiation process with Tajikistan on the issue of demarcation and delimitation of disputed sections of the state border was progressing.
According to him, «we are discussing the issue well.»
Kamchybek Tashiev specified that he recently returned from Dushanbe, where he was at the head of the Kyrgyz commission and held talks with the Tajik commission.
«We are trying to resolve the issue. If earlier we could not do this and everyone stood his ground, refusing to give in, now we have begun to find a common language. Ready to make concessions. God willing, in the near future, a large delegation from Tajikistan will come to us. We signed the protocol. We will start negotiating, then we’ll sign the agreement, we’ll go to the Parliament, discuss it, the deputies will ratify the document, the presidents will sign it. The problem of both countries will be solved,» he said.
Earlier, the President informed the Parliament that a protocol had been signed on Tort-Kocho area.
