President Japarov invites Berdimuhamedovs to visit Kyrgyzstan

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the sidelines of the summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Samarkand (Uzbekistan).

They exchanged views on the assessment of the current state of bilateral relations, and discussed issues of organizing visits at the highest level.

Sadyr Japarov congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the entire fraternal Turkmen people on awarding the Highest Order of the Turkic World. He noted that this high award clearly testifies to the personal contribution of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to strengthening the unity and solidarity of the Turkic states, as well as to enhancing the international image of the OTS.

The head of state noted the high level of cooperation between the countries and appreciated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s contribution to strengthening the Kyrgyz-Turkmen partnership.

According to him, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan are close friends, strategic partners and fraternal countries, and the peoples have maintained friendly, family ties for centuries.

Sadyr Japarov invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and his son, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to visit Kyrgyzstan at a convenient time.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the meeting, noting the importance of building up and deepening bilateral ties, including at the level of Parliaments of states.

The parties agreed to make joint efforts to further deepen cooperation between the countries, which should develop at an active pace.
